Paul M. Williams
Paul M Williams, West Virginia's Singing Cowboy!
Paul has been playing guitar and singing for many years. John Denver and Jim Croce were among his favorites and influences when he started learning to play. Later I Paul said he discovered the cowboy songs his grandfather played when he was little. Paul learned to play many of them from memory, and began to incorporate some of that style into his picking. Paul wrote his first song, Shenandoah Skies, after a trip he made with his late wife on Skyline Drive. Using the photos they had taken as inspiration, he tried to share the feeling of beauty and joy that trip gave him.
His other original songs are about events in his life since he lost his wife Annette in a wreck in February of 2016. Relationships he wishes had turned out better, his search for where his new life might lead, and the faith he has found more deeply in the time that has passed.
